  • Read from the Bible, and close it.
  • Tell the story from memory.
  • Retell the story together.
  • Read the story together from the Bible.-
  • Discuss the story together using questions:
    • What do we learn about God/Jesus?
    • What do we learn from the people in this story?
    • Use “S.P.E.C.” to discuss from the passage if there is a...
      • Sin to avoid?
      • Promise to claim?
      • Example to follow?
      • Command to obey?
    • Who do you most identify with in the story and why?
    • Invite: Ask, “What keeps you from following Jesus today?”

  • Go: Who is someone in your life that you think needs to hear this story?
